The interesting thing about photography is that it can change a part of the world just by viewing it. Even though a camera can, essentially, only do what our eyes can, artistically taken photographs can change perceptions, and heighten understanding in many ways that just using our eyes cannot. Photographic art is immensely diverse. Live moments can be captured, transformed into memory. Shots can be staged, or, in our wonderful era of digitalism, effects can be applied to a photo after it is taken. When done well, and as our collection of photographic art demonstrates, the results can be brilliant.
